Position Overview:
As a GIS and Civil Assets Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our asset management and spatial systems. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient data capture, condition audits, asset management planning, and spatial projects. Additionally, you'll provide expert advice on stormwater flooding, water quality, and deliver precise design solutions for civil and stormwater projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of asset management and spatial systems.
- Assist in developing spatial projects supporting the strategic asset management plan.
- Participate in asset management and spatial system governance policies.
- Offer expert advice on stormwater flooding and water quality for development proposals.
- Deliver precise design solutions and plans for civil and stormwater projects.
- Ensure capital works programs align with Council guidelines and procedures.
- Facilitate training sessions for internal staff on GIS platforms.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Essential:
- Experience in Civil Engineering projects and asset management.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles.
- Proficiency in Conquest GIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Desired:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience in strategic asset management planning.
- Familiarity with AS/ISO 55000: 2014 standards.
- Three to five years' experience in civil or capital projects management.
- Previous experience in Local Government or similar industry.
