Gis Specialist Data Engineer

Hudson is seeking an experienced Geospatial Information System (GIS) professional to join a large organisation as part of a project aimed at extending the capability of an existing road network data product for use in the organisations systems and processes.
Responsibilities:

• Work within the Geospatial Technologies team to create derivative datasets and modify existing data and processes to meet current needs.
• Utilize high-level skills in FME (SAFE Software) desktop and server, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and Oracle Spatial to effectively manage and analyse geospatial data.
• Create and automate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools for supporting datasets and capturing change as it occurs.
• Leverage experience with linear assets and working with the organisations open data to enhance project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Principal Spatial Science Officer within Engineering & Technology Geospatial Technologies to ensure project alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience working with FME (SAFE Software) desktop and server, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and Oracle Spatial.
• Proven ability to create and automate ETL processes and tools for managing geospatial datasets.
• Familiarity with linear assets and Queensland Government open data is advantageous.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Location and Hours:
The successful candidate will work from the office located in the Brisbane CBD.
This position offers flexibility, with three to five days per week negotiable.
Level and Compensation:
This is a PO4 level position, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
