This Australian ASX household brand is recognised and respected both nationally and overseas. As a Group Senior Financial Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our Group Finance department, playing a vital role in driving financial excellence and supporting continued expansion into new markets.
Role
You'll take charge of overseeing financial records and processes across diverse business units and subsidiaries. Your expertise will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate effective decision-making and expansion into new markets.
- Controlling Oversight Activities - Lead the implementation of formal controlling oversight activities across subsidiaries and business units, conducting periodic reviews and providing actionable recommendations.
- Consolidation and Financial Reporting: Assist in monthly, half-yearly, and annual consolidation activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- Record Keeping of Technical Areas: Maintain meticulous records for key technical areas such as share-based payments and bad debt provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Projects: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
- Domestic and international travel will be required from time to time.
Person
Ideally, you've honed your skills as a second-year senior in a Big 4 firm, navigating the intricacies of ASX listed groups with multiple subsidiaries, and demonstrating agility in problem-solving. You'll ideally be CA/CPA qualified with 4-5 years' experience coupled with superior Excel skills.
You possess a strong technical proficiency in accounting, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail combined with a strategic mindset.
You're customer-focused, intellectually curious, decisive, and an adept communicator, able to navigate complex situations.
