Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will work within a small team, driving financial excellence within our berry category finance department. This hands-on role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including financial data analysis, business insights reporting, compliance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Data Analysis:
- Collate and analyze financial data, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Business Insights and Support:
- Offer financial support to business leaders, translating insights into effective business decisions.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong and proactive relationships with business leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Uphold and understand the business compliance framework, contributing to statutory reporting processes.
Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the design and development of business process improvements, emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the production of accurate and timely management information, including weekly, month-end, and quarter-end reporting (P&L and Balance Sheet). Also take responsbility for capital/CAPEX reporting.
Payroll and Accounting Entries:
- Review and post payroll entries, accruals, and prepayments. Reconcile balance sheet accounts for month-end.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist with budget forecasts, cost planning, and internal management reporting. Engage in business partnering with regional farm and cross-functional teams.
Technology Proficiency:
- Leverage previous exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems. Demonstrate strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and business reporting tools.
About you
- CPA certification with a minimum of five years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven self-initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and willingness to get involved.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team.
- High level of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems, and experience within FMCG and/or agriculture sectors will be highly regarded.
