Your Opportunity
As the Global Business Associate you will be responsible for:
* Develop, foster and manage strong relationships with internal and external clients in the international educationindustry to identify and capitalise on new revenue streams and to maintain or increase existing revenue streams.
* Act as the first point of contact for overseas international education agents and clients.
This position reports to the Global Business Partner.
This is a Permanent full time role and is based primarily at South Bank however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the establishedvalues of Safety First, Working Together, Showing Initiate, Focusing on our customers, Taking Responsibility.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the designated target market, understanding current cultures and customs toidentify new and emerging opportunities, current competitors and maintain an accurate and up-to-date database ofenquiries from the designated market to effectively and proactively manage leads and nurture applications workingtowards the implementation of the regions recruitment plan.
* Actively network and engage in relevant international groups or associations and attend key conferences, exposand events remain abreast of industry trends and cultivate strong relationships with key government, educationaland commercial stakeholders.
* Assist in the development of international student recruitment plan and identification of leads for the businessdevelopment pipeline, individual and team KPIs and revenue targets in line with key international studentrecruitment objectives.
* Collaborate with the TAFE Queensland marketing, admissions, compliance and business development teams togenerate collateral for print and digital communications designed to engage and convert enquiries and applicationsto enrolment.
* Provide customer support, through enquiry management systems as well as, prospective student consults andcampus tours to enhance student pipelines and generation of leads. Conduct conversion activities of all applicantsacross TAFE Queensland International Education.
* Develop and implement initiatives to increase student pipelines utilising existing partners and audiences (includingbut not limited to English pathways, articulation partners and high schools), benchmark and report on the success ofthese initiatives to ensure the maximisation of commercial return on investment and conversion of enquiry toenrolment.
* Develop a strong knowledge of all products and services across the business to strengthen the advice provided toall international clients of TAFE Queensland, including strong communications skills with the ability to deliverpresentations and information sessions to a broad range of audiences.
* Support the development of onshore commercial opportunities including client engagement, implementing eventmanagement practices, managing cost, activities, engagement opportunities, timelines and operational plans asrequested.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including educationaldelivery staff, marketing and business development teams to analyse to capitalise on revenue-generatingopportunities as well as external International Education Agents, including account management principals,delivering agents training that supports the initiatives of TAFE Queensland International Education.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
* Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic,challenging and changing environment.
* Strong understanding of the international vocational education and training (VET), Higher Education and Englishlanguage markets, including the ability to identify, negotiate and finalise commercial sales opportunities within themarkets.
* Demonstrated achievement in a competitive sales environment with a strong track record in achieving sales targets.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills including liaison, and networking to develop and and maintainpositive relationships with key stakeholders and clients in a highly customer centric manner. This includes highlevel writing skills to develop relevant business documents for competitive market opportunities.
* Well-developed understanding of the designated target market including culture and cultural protocols, relevantlegislations, standards, regulations and guidelines.
Highly Desirable Requirements
* Bilingual language skills
* Applicants should possess the attributes necessary to obtain visa clearance to travel globally on an ad hoc basis.
