Two divisions - Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids - are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.About the RoleWe're on the lookout for a Network & Telecommunications Lead to join our vibrant team and spearhead cutting-edge solutions that will drive Santos to new heights!As our Network & Telecommunications Lead, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionising Corporate wired and wireless LAN/WAN Networks and Unified Communications Services. Reporting directly to the IS Operations Manager, you'll wield the power to ensure seamless connectivity and communication across our global operations, making a tangible impact on our company's success.But that's not all - you'll be the guardian of our IS Service contracts, forging strong partnerships with key Network Infrastructure Service Providers and Application Suppliers. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that third-party services are not just secure and reliable, but also surpassing our key performance indicators with flying colours. You'll be the linchpin between the Business, IS, our managed service provider, and 3rd party vendors, ensuring that service levels never falter and our operations remain at peak efficiency.Key Accountabilities:
- Development and delivery of standards, objectives and plans in IS Network Infrastructure
- Responsible for managing and planning the IS Network OPEX budget, including the preparation of short-term and long-term financial forecasts
- Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and management of the CAPEX budget as well as delivery of scope within 5% of budget
- Manage the performance and development of direct reports in line with all HR processes
- Guide and direct the activity of the voice and data Network Solutions teams in supporting on-going network / communications tasks and production support as well as supporting the requirements of approved IS projects
- Coordinate the efforts with the various Information Systems resources assigned to projects to ensure consistent implementations in keeping with short and long-range plans for Network Solutions
- Perform regular system design and capacity planning to ensure that company infrastructure is adequate to handle the requirements of near-term growth, and is aligned with long-term plans consistent with the overall Santos strategy
- Manages the purchasing, selection and installation of required infrastructure including; network software, hardware communications, VoIP and wireless
- Develops, implements and monitors Network Solutions infrastructure standards and strategies, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory policies and procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical discussions and make decisions on course of action.
- Possess extensive experience in both the technical and managerial aspects of Information Technology
- Experience in the supervision/management of converged voice and data networks experience.
- Managing and leading teams of professionals and/or individual contributors
- Senior experience in IT Network Infrastructure

- Troubleshooting skills to independently research and resolve infrastructure related issues
- Exceptional knowledge of infrastructure maintenance and delivery.

- Technically savvy across Infrastructure technologies including Networks, Server, cloud and storage
- Demonstrated experience in wireless telecommunications technologies support and troubleshooting.
- Communication and interpersonal skills that enables both independent and/or team approach to assigned technical work tasks.
- Experience with networking technologies and demonstrated experience with communications standards as defined by IEEE, 3GPP, and 3GPP2 (802.11, 802.16/WiMAX, UMTS, HSPA, CDMA, LTE, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience relevant to the OSI model and communication protocols.
- Troubleshooting skills to independently research and resolve telecommunications infrastructure related issues
