The purpose of this role is to devise, refine, and consistently steer the Independent product, pricing, and content strategy on a worldwide scale in alignment with the vision, strategic goals, and growth targets established by the Global Managing Director.
As the Global Product Leader, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful implementation of both global and local product and content plans through innovation, effective leadership, and communication. Serving as a vital liaison between the Independent division and the Supply division.
This is a highly collaborative role, coordinating with the Managing Director of Supply Operations to articulate a robust and comprehensive Independent business plan, outlining clear priorities that can then be executed by the global and regional supply chain teams.
This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or the US.
Day to day:
Product Operations and Support:
- Lead the Product Operations & support efforts across the business to ensure maximum levels of network satisfaction
- Review and drive improvements to CSAT scores relating to Product range and support
- Lead the ticketing operations function to ensure efficient, low cost and scalable global ticketing operations are in place and optimised Ensure ticketing operations deliver a high level of network satisfaction, measured via CSAT scoring
- Identify opportunities for revenue margin maximisation and create and implement strategies to capitalise on these opportunities
Driving Successful Deployment of Strategy and Plans:
- Establish regular stakeholder forums: Create a consistent platform for key stakeholders to understand and contribute to the strategy's creation, deployment, and success
- Communicate plans and expectations: Ensure widespread awareness of plans and expectations, fostering ownership and discipline for timely delivery.
- Develop aligned Product and Content Strategic Plan: Drive a compelling plan that aligns with the Independent business' vision, incorporating a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape
- Systematic customer discovery: Contribute systematically to customer discovery efforts, utilizing methods like design thinking to determine customer needs, and develop go-to-market plans based on competitive insights
- Tactical strategies for growth: Deploy tactical strategies to increase share of wallet from network agencies, own and drive the product data strategy, and contribute to broader decisions within the Global Independents Taskforce
Supplier Partnerships:
- Develop unique offers for Independent agents and network to enhance acquisition, retention, and share of wallet
- Represent Independent business to suppliers, articulating plans and goals
- Ensure global Supplier Partnership teams understand Independent business drivers
- Source compelling offers from suppliers for Global Independent network, adding value or driving returns
- Secure sponsorships, assess memberships, and negotiate terms with non-preferred suppliers as needed
Leadership:
- Provide discipline leadership and direction to the in-country Product team members
- Create the right structure and foundation for a consolidated business
- Lead by example, self-motivated with a high level of initiative
- Ensure the global Independent product direction is clearly articulated and adhered to in all region
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- Minimum 5 years travel industry experience
- Minimum 3 years in a senior product or supply role
- Degree qualifications in relevant discipline
