Roster: 5:2 (Residential Role)

Residential: Kalgoorlie/Boulder

The Gold Room Technician controls, monitors and maintains the process equipment used in the gold circuit at the Binduli North Heap Leach Project.

The Company has a mining and processing complex in Western Australia’s world-class Kalgoorlie goldfield region, including a highly prospective tenement package of more than 1,000km² surrounding the 3.8Mtpa Paddington Mill. 

Currently Norton Gold Fields is progressing its expansion of two underground mine sites, namely Tuart and Enterprise and various open pit projects such as Federal, Jakarta, Golden Funnel, Rose Dam South and Rose Dam North this year.

Duties

• Carry out all the Elution and Gold room operations, including Elution circuits, regeneration of Carbon, Cropping and smelting.
• Trouble-shooting all Gold Room processes.
• Identifying and managing risks to the Gold Room Elution area.
• Secure Gold Room assets from misuse/theft encompassing gold and equipment. 
• Implementing and maintaining systems and procedures for effective management of Gold Room operations including reporting.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Complete end of month reporting on all gold poured.
• Carry out sufficient strips to keep GIC at a constant level.
• Train other personnel as required.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
• Daily inspections of work area.
• Any other duties as required.

Skills and Experience  

• Current unrestricted "C" Class WA Manual Drivers Licence
• Satisfactory Police Clearance
• Senior First Aid Certificate desirable
• Fork lift licence
• Knowledge of gold processing
• Analytical and problem solving abilities
• Intermediate computer literacy with MS Word & MS Excel
•  Basic report writing skills
•  Sound verbal & written communication skills
