Receiving outstanding reviews from members and guests, the highly playable, member friendly design complements the existing topography whilst ensuring the spectacular natural features of the stunning setting and dramatic views of the surrounding Christmas Hills and Dividing Ranges are maximised to enrich the playing experience.

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing a high standard of maintenance to ensure the best presentation of The Eastern Golf Course and its immediate environment.
- Be an important and engaged member of the management team.
- Providing leadership and direction in on-course developments and improvements
- Ensuring a safe environment for golfers and staff.
- Active contribution to the development and execution of a Course Maintenance Plan and the associated budgeted work program.
- Developing course maintenance staff to a high skill level and employ those skills in their day-to-day activity to continually improve productivity and efficient work practices.
- Ensuring effective management of internal and external resources to deliver course maintenance programs.
To be successful, you will have:
- A team focus, with strong leadership, training, and staff management skills that align with the Club’s cultural values of integrity, friendliness, and excellence.
- Over 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent or currently holding the position of Superintendent at a Golf Course,
- Experience and passion for presenting top class Golf Course playing conditions,
- Exceptional communication skills,
- Experience with the preparation and management of budgets,
- Have exceptional organizational skills with clear focus on quality and service standards.
- Be confident in all areas of WH&S, staff rostering, and other duties related to daily and weekly Golf Course maintenance.
- Have a full understanding of all current Golf Course machinery operations and experience in managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Have experience in irrigation and maintenance issues.
- Relevant Sports Turf Management or Horticultural Trade or equivalent qualifications.
- Accreditation in Chemical Applications & Safe Handling
- Current Driver’s License.
