A parental leave contract opportunity has become available in the City of Newcastle's (CN) Legal & Governance team. As the Governance Advisor and reporting to the Governance Business Partner, you will play an integral role in providing advice and support to CN's governance functions. This will include providing a high level of professional and effective customer service on behalf of CN with both internal and external stakeholders.You will provide timely, efficient and accurate high-quality confidential business support as well as supporting the planning and implementation of governance projects/programs through a collaborative approach. Your ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders to support the delivery of them will ensure your ongoing success in this role. You will champion the administration of CN’s governance framework and maintain the governance pages on CN’s intranet with input from subject matter experts.Another key element of your role will be to manage the administration of processes for code of conduct complaints, investigations, public interest disclosures and requests for governance advice.What’s it like working at the City of Newcastle?We are focused on making a real difference in our community and achieving our vision of creating a smart, liveable, and sustainable global city.
