Interesting work + consistently high earnings capacity..A well established, successful provider in central Cairns is looking for a General Practitioner (FRACGP equivalent or Substantially Comparable Doctor) who would like to relocate to the tropics on a permanent basis. For a GP genuinely seeking permanent relocation, there is plenty of scope to start the position on a locum basis initially, for a couple of days, before committing to a permanent contractor agreement. During this time, the potential permanent Doctor will be able to get a feel of how the clinic operates.
The stand-out for this practice, is the sheer number of years it's been established and the large, diverse patient base it will offer. There is a lot of heart and care provided by the dedicated Doctors and amazing care staff here, which would greatly benefit a Doctor in training or someone new to Cairns. There are no shortage of patient numbers/presentations and Doctors are able to work the way they choose in terms of 10-20 minute patient appointments.
This kind of experience may be especially invaluable for a Doctor who has recently fellowed and would like to enjoy a few years of Rural work before settling in Brisbane, Sydney or Perth.
