Responsible for providing health care, health education, advocating and support to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community, and for promoting healthy lifestyles and healthy choices from a holistic position. Patient health issues addressed by the medical clinic include general medicine; preventative care; chronic disease management; emotional well-being/mental health; alcohol and other drug issues; women’s health; health assessments and immunisation.
The current demographic is mixed with approximately 60% from the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community and the rest non-indigenous. Practice uses Best Practice medical software and 20min patients appointment system
