Grade 2 Hand Therapy - Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist
Applications from Grade 2Occupational Therapists and/or Physiotherapists are encouraged to apply for this position in Hand Therapy at Northern Health.
This position involves the provision of specialist clinical (assessment and treatment) services to clients referred for Hand Therapy at Northern Hospital Epping and other Northern Health sites including the newly established Hand Therapy procedure unit.
This position is fixed term full time until May 2025, covering maternity leave
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of the role of Hand Therapy in the acute hospital environment (or similar)
- Specialist postgraduate training and/or experience in Plastics/Hand Therapy, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical practice including management of acute hand trauma.
- Well informed of current developments in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Hand Therapy.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Committed to life-long learning and development
