With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Opportunity:Grade 2 OT / Physiotherapist - Hand TherapyApplications from Grade 2Occupational Therapists and/or Physiotherapists are encouraged to apply for this fixed term part time position in Hand Therapy at Northern Health.This position involves the provision of specialist clinical (assessment and treatment) services to clients referred for Hand Therapy at Northern Hospital Epping and other Northern Health sites including the newly established Hand Therapy procedure unit.This is a Part Time, Fixed Term appointment until 17 March 2025.To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of the role of Hand Therapy in the acute hospital environment (or similar)
- Specialist postgraduate training and/or experience in Plastics/Hand Therapy, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical practice including management of acute hand trauma.
- Well informed of current developments in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Hand Therapy.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
