The Opportunity:
Acute Inpatient Clinical or Health Psychologist - Permanent part-time
This is a Grade 2 (0.5 EFT, 40 hours per fortnight) or Senior Grade 3 (0.4 EFT, 32 hours per fortnight) position.
We are seeking a Clinical or Health Psychologist interested in valuable opportunities for enhanced knowledge and insight into public health care, the intersect between acute/chronic medical illness and psychological conditions and bedside psychological therapies. Working with Acute Inpatients also supports the development of important clinical consultation skills as well as enhance clinical flexibility and adaptability in delivering therapy.
The role will involve:
- Work in an acute inpatient service
- Specialist psychological assessment and treatment
- Multidisciplinary collaboration
- Clinical consultation and supervision
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An enthusiastic, adaptable and collaborative style
- Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in public health and/or gastrointestinal disorders, cancer or kidney disease.
