Job description:
- Join a dedicated, innovative pharmacy team based at University Hospital Geelong
- Provide a clinical pharmacy service to Surgical Services, including Perioperative Services and Acute Pain Services
- Be an integral part of the multidisciplinary teams and actively participate in planning meetings, procedure development and clinical reviews in Surgical Services
About Our Facility
The Barwon Health Pharmacy Department provides an extensive range of pharmacy services to University Hospital Geelong, McKellar Centre, Community Health Centres and small hospitals in the region. Barwon Health is the first hospital in Australia to adopt ROWA robot technology for our inventory control. In keeping with Barwon Health's commitment to teaching, the service has an active involvement with education for student and intern pharmacists and doctors, nursing staff and other health professionals.
About the Role
The role will manage the Surgical Services Pharmacy team and provide leadership in clinical pharmacy across the critical care specialties within Barwon Health. The successful applicant will provide advice on service performance, service planning and innovative approaches to service needs and provide clinical pharmacy services to ensure safe, appropriate and efficient medication use within the critical care stream at Barwon Health.
