Grade 2 Physiotherapist - Aged Care
- Full Time Fixed Term position until August 27th 2024
- Rotational Physiotherapy Position in the Aged Care & Complex Care service team (inpatient, outpatient and home based care)
- Provide physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists
The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Physiotherapy service is made up of over 110 staff providing services across the City and Royal Park Campuses. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly team.
You will be provided with opportunities to gain experience working in a well supported multidisciplinary team environment with a wide variety of acute and sub-acute clients across the Home First, Ambulatory & Complex Care service. These services are across the hospital continuum from inpatients through to home based and community care. This role involves supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists. You will have leadership and development opportunities across the Physiotherapy and Allied Health departments. This role is based at our Royal Park Campus and is well supported by experienced grade 3 and 4 physiotherapists.
Your new role:
- Bring your excellent clinical skills to provide high quality patient assessment, treatment and management.
- Be involved in the supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists.
- Develop your leadership skills in organisational committees and portfolios.
- Contribute to our innovative research and quality improvement program.
About you:
- You have excellent Physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills and the ability to manage a variety of complex patients across the spectrum of subacute aged-care patient management.
- You demonstrate well developed communication skills.
- You possess effective time management and organisational skills.
- You have previous experience working in a healthcare setting
