Grade 3 Clinical Psychologist - Yarra Ranges Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service:

Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are being established across Victoria focusing on care and support for people aged 26 and over who are experiencing mental health concerns – including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug treatment and care needs and their family, carers, and supporters.  Eastern Health has partnered with Wellways, Inspiro and Oonah to deliver the Yarra Ranges Local which will offer a "how can we help?" and no wrong door approach making it easier for people to access the support they need close to their home, improving capacity of individuals to engage in our community and respond to any future psychological distress.

 About the role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the Yarra Ranges Local Mental Healht and Wellbeing Service.   You will play a vital role in ensuring that consumers, carers and their families receive valuable and supportive mental health care. This role will ensure decisions are always either directly or indirectly aimed at ensuring the person with lived experience is at the centre of all we do and that the ethos and values of clinical professionalism are imbued within the culture of the organisation and play an integral role in changing and shaping the way mental health and wellbeing services and supports are delivered to the Yarra Ranges community.

The Grade 3 Clinical Pscyhologist will provide services to people experiencing a range of mental health and wellbeing challenges. Services will be provided within a strength based, person centred, trauma informed, goal and recovery-oriented framework.  The Psychologist will work alongside the individual consumers and their carers with an individual plan designed to promote, foster and sustain personal recovery

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• A Masters or Doctoral coursework qualification in Clinical Psychology that has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Current general registration and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Board-approved Supervisor status recognised by AHPRA.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a mental health setting as a qualified/fully registered psychologist
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high quality and comprehensive psychological assessments and to formulate and implement appropriate evidence based interventions that are consistent with best practice in clinical psychology
• Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with consumers, significant carers, members of multidisciplinary team and external agencies
• Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary team
