Grade 5 senior Social Work Manager - Melbourne
Randstad is working exclusively with a client to recruit an experienced Grade 5 senior Social Work Leader for a permanent position based in Melbourne. If your motivation is to make meaningful change in a team and help shape the direction of a unit then this position is for you.
About the role and responsibilities:
The Senior Social Work Manager reports directly to the Director in charge of the unit and this role is responsible for the leadership and management of Social Work and the team including:
- Operational accountability for the overall development, coordination and delivery of evidence-based services provided by Social Work, Spiritual Care, Family Accommodation Service, Abortion & Contraception Services, ATSI women and the Family and Reproductive Rights Education Program.
- Responsible for the achievement of clinical and non-clinical performance targets and ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care delivered through innovative and efficient service models
- Be the professional lead for Social Work, i.e. the professional governance of Social Workers.
- In collaboration with Snr, leaders provide strategic and clinical leadership for all clinical services within your portfolio.
- Identify and provide long and short term operational, professional, and strategic planning goals for the Social Work department.
- In collaboration with the team leaders and coordinators and other relevant stakeholders, ensure consistency across the various teams and services in the areas of professional development, clinical standards, education and clinical supervision.
About you:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work (Bachelors or Masters degree)
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Post-graduate qualification in Social Work, leadership Management, or Health Service Administration, Public Health
- Previous experience in managing a complex department within a multidisciplinary setting, including leading change
- Demonstrated commitment to a women centered approach to service provision
- Experience with change management.
Salary and Benefits:
- Annual salary starting from $150,664 + super
- 5 weeks of annual leave
