Role Purpose
The Graduate Account is a key role within the ASFA finance team and is responsible for delivering the best possible support to that department. This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate wanting to learn the Australian accounting industry.
Key Responsibilities
As a key part of the finance team, the main responsibilities of the role are:
- Accounts Payable, including entering creditor invoices, processing creditor payments and investigating discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable, including processing credit notes and cancellations as well as preparation of debtor report.
- Banking – including processing of customer merchant payments.
- Petty cash.
- Corporate credit card processing and reconciliations.
- Month end closing for Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable and reconciliations for the corresponding accounts.
- Assist with Year-end audit.
- Other ad-hoc tasks from time to time.
Qualifications & experience:
- Degree in Accounting or Associate Diploma Accounting or equivalent experience
- Work experience in accounting preferred but not essential
Knowledge & Skills:
- High numeracy and attention to details.
- Ability to meet month-end deadlines.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Pleasant, friendly and professional communication style, with strong service orientation
- Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
