A great opportunity exists for a driven Graduate Accountant to join the Mohawk Flooring Oceania Finance team and deliver high quality general accounting services within our Corporate Accounting team in Australia, based in South Geelong.
The RoleThe Graduate Accountant reports to the Accounting and Reporting Manager but may assist other members of the finance team from time to time on specific tasks and projects As a graduate role the key focus for this position will be to assist the Accounting and Reporting Manager and other members of the Finance team in the completion of tasks within the finance department. You will be learn various tasks and processes initially and, over time, take increased ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
Further the Graduate Accountant will engage with other graduates across the business to share experiences and further develop broader business awareness. The Person To be successful in this role you will need: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field
Some work experience is preferred but not essential Be a quick learner who will quickly become proficient in the use of our accounting software Have good communication and interpersonal skills
Have exceptional attention to detail and proactive approach to work Have experience working under pressure, including juggling of multiple tasks whilst remaining calm Have the ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines
