The Position
St John of God Health Care is seeking a Graduate Accountant to join the team. You will support the delivery of Group Finance deliverables and will rotate across a number of areas in the Group Finance portfolio, with the intent of providing caregivers with a diverse learning experience.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks through each rotation supporting either Group Services or an allocated hospital including:
- Processing of monthly transactional accounting.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Consolidated financial reporting for both management and statutory accounts
- Contributing to strategic decision making and analysis
- Participate in process improvement and the implementations of financial controls
This role will be offered on a 3 year fixed term contract, working 76 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Degree qualified, with a commitment to compete a CA / CPA qualification within the three year contract.
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand customer needs, in order to deliver their requirements.
- A positive and flexible can do attitude with the ability to handle multiple activities, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Practical and creative approaches to providing analysis and problem solving.
- Intermediate computer skills, with a desire to improve.
