Acoustic Works seeks to employ a graduate keen to start a career as an Acoustic Consultant in our Newcastle office. All applicants are required to hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, science or Masters in Design Science.
Acoustic Works provides consulting advice to clients including town planners, developers, builders, architects, project managers and others to address noise emissions from developments and also internal noise within developments. The key focuses are improving environmental outcomes, reducing noise impacts and improving acoustic amenity.
Applicants must demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving, sound skills in report writing with good communication and presentation. Training will be provided to promote career growth and experience, with salary determined based on the competency of the successful applicant.
Job requirements include:
- Demonstrate a high standard of competency in communication, including reading and writing.
- Hold a current Australian drivers license.
- Be willing to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Willing to work outside of normal work hours as may be required on certain projects.
- Work with senior staff for direction and instruction as necessary to improve your knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word.
