Acoustics Engineer

Due to continued growth, Aston Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Acoustics Engineer to join our growing acoustics team and work collaboratively with the wider team to help deliver a steady pipeline of exciting acoustics projects across Australia.

This is a full-time office-based role with the successful candidate ideally based in our Sydney Office

Essential Criteria

• Hold a relevant bachelor or master’s degree in relation to Acoustics or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant acoustics work experience in the commercial building sector.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• Solid understanding of acoustical concepts
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Bluebeam.
• Experience and familiarity with acoustics calculation programs such as INSUL, Strutt, EASE, ODEON.
• Experience with AutoCad and Python are high favoured but not essential.
• Membership with the Australian Acoustical Society (AAS) is desired but not essential.

 The successful candidate duties will include:

• Develop cost effective, pragmatic Acoustics Engineering solutions on behalf of our clients
• Execution of on-site acoustic testing and inspections where required.
• Undertaking professional development training
• Delivering fully coordinated acoustic services engineering documentation
