We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join us for new contracts in the Pilbara & Goldfields-Esperance Regions. Road infrastructure and bulk earthworks projects in mining environment. Scope of work includes road widenings, large cut & fill operations, drilling & blasting, stormwater drainage, road rehabilitation and sealing of roads.
DIDO from Perth on a 2:1 roster.
The Project Manager will provide support to this role, which involves closely collaborating with on-site personnel to ensure timely project delivery and high-quality work. Training will be provided as necessary.
In addition to working with a skilled and efficient team, the selected candidate will have continuous project exposure, facilitating the further development of technical and project management skills. Exceptional performance will create opportunities for career advancement into Site Engineer positions.
Works will include:
- Bulk earthworks and underdrainage system on large tailing storage facility.
- Detailed earthworks and concrete structures on water supply dam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review of project specifications and preparation of related QA-QC documentation including Inspection Test Plans, Field Inspection Records, MDR etc
- Develop & maintain project documentation
- Collating of project data to monitor production and cost
- Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance to specifications
- Procurement support including Subcontract / Supplier QA-QC management
- Support Site Management team as required
- Ensure project compliance to the contract requirements and project budget
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Some experience or exposure to bulk earthworks projects is desirable but not essential
- A demonstrated commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Well-developed computer skills
