The role
This is an exciting role for a recently graduated engineer wanting to start their career in renewable energy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the whole lifecycle of renewables projects in Wind, Solar, BESS and Offshore wind and will receive exposure across development, grid connection, land access and procurement.
Responsibilities will include;
- Assist with project origination and land access.
- Provide support on development applications, including amendment of existing approvals.
- Participate in stakeholder management, including landholders, state government agencies, transmission network service providers and consultants.
- Be involved in the technical aspects of the project, including equipment selection and engineering optimisation.
- Assist with the connection approval and provide support on Connection Agreement negotiation.
- Assist with the procurement of wind turbines, solar panels and/or electrical and civil construction contracts.
- Collaborate on project constructability reviews to determine the best methods for project delivery.
- Assist with the preparation of the project investment case.
Skills and experience
- Recently graduated or in the final year of a degree course in Science or Engineering
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work across multiple scopes and teams
- Well- developed analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Driver licence and ability to travel
- GIS experience preferred but not essential.
