AddressPosition: Grid Connection Engineer
Location: Melbourne or Brisbane
We are partnering with an established renewable energy developer to seek an experienced Grid Connection Engineer for their Australian operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in either Melbourne or Brisbane and contribute to the success of a leading player in the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of all Grid Connection activities for our Australian business, ensuring adherence to AEMO and NSP requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the senior project development manager to oversee the Grid Connection process and applications.
- Provide comprehensive support and guidance throughout the project life cycle, from feasibility to design to commissioning.
- Utilise your technical expertise to navigate challenges and optimise Grid Connection processes.
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth Grid Connections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 5-8+ years of experience in Grid Connection within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in AEMO connection processes and applications.
- Preferred experience in Grid Connection for renewable energy assets.
- Familiarity with power systems modelling tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, or Power Factory.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
