AddressEquilibrium Mining is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical/Rock Mechanics Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. Equilibrium is a small, innovative team with members in Canada, the US, and Australia, and we are searching for a graduate engineer to support and enhance our team. This role will be based in our Brisbane, Australia office within a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities Overview:
- Undertaken field investigations within Australia and internationally.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- 3D visualization to support geotechnical analysis.
- Engineering analysis and numerical modeling to support geotechnical design.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals.
Background Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil, geological, geotechnical, or mining engineering. A Master's degree in a relevant field is an asset.
- 0-3 yrs experience in the mining industry, with a focus on rock mechanics.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in rock mechanics software (e.g., RocScience suite, FLAC3D, and/or other modeling packages)
- Strong visualization and data analysis skills (e.g. Leapfrog, Vulcan, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- Commitment to inclusion, diversity and health and safety.
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in Australia.
