About the role
As the successful applicant, the Graduate Lawyer will assist clients across family law, commercial, and Conveyancing, and support our senior lawyers where needed.
Most of our clients have English as a second language; therefore, the Graduate Lawyermust be able to communicate in any Indian language/dialect.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- drafting correspondence & memorandums
- conducting legal research for cases as per requirements
- preparing briefs & proof-reading documents
- drafting affidavits & consent orders when needed
- assisting/supporting senior lawyers where needed
- accessing Comm Courts Portal
- drafting leases & contracts of sales for businesses/real estate property.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Full Australian working rights essential
- Min. 1 year of lawyer experience in a similar role (Family Law, Commercial Law or conveyancing experience preferred)
- Bilingualism in Hindi, Punjabi or other Indian language essential
- Ability to draft affidavits as needed (not essential)
- Ability to prepare Contract of Sale/Statement of Adjustments for Conveyancing matters (not essential)
- Ability to conduct searches for conveyancing matters (not essential)
- Familiarity with Adobe Workshop & LEAP Practice Management Software (not essential).
