About the role
We are looking for a Graduate Lawyer to join our Personal Injury team. . This is an opportunity to work in a supportive team under the guidance of an experienced and reputable Partner. You will be exposed to a variety of matters including motor vehicle accident, work injury, public liability and total and permanent disability/superannuation claims. As part of our team, you will be helping people restore control in their lives by achieving suitable outcomes and compensation.
To be considered for this role, you will;
- Be admitted to practise in Australia,
- Have an interest in Personal Injury law
- Have a high standard of work quality and great attention to detail
- Have well developed research, writing and communication skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Have a proactive approach and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Have an empathetic approach and ability to build rapport with clients
- Be a team player
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Drafting documents and correspondence
- Assisting with the preparation of briefs, copying and scanning
- Legal research
- Attending court and client meetings and accurately recording notes
- Liaising professionally with clients, and others which may include doctors, barristers and expert witnesses
