AddressThe Hunter New England GradStart program provides an environment that is supportive and varied enabling you to consolidate and expand your clinical skills, while building on your professional and organisational knowledge in our diverse clinical environments. We have a range of settings including:
Barraba, Bingara, Boggabri, Drug and Alcohol clinical services Gloucester, Kurri Kurri/Cessnock, Maitland, Manning, Merriwa, Moree, Quirindi, Newcastle/Maitland Mental Health, Tamworth and Warialda. Each facility provides unique opportunities to learn and explore the range of different nursing environments.
Our rural and regional communities in the Hunter and New England regions of NSW are welcoming, supportive of lifestyle and interesting. Each town has plenty on offer including diverse recreational pursuits, water sports, cultural experiences, and natural wonders. Picturesque winery and culinary regions are just on your doorstep when you work, live, and play in our District. Additionally, working in a regional facility greatly enhances your nursing skills in a way no other experience can.
Programs will commence from 15/07/2024, applicants cannot have applied to the Ministry of Health’s GradStart campaign.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2023_022: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases for Category A positions prior to offer. Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement (IHS), or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate, or AIR COVID-19 and Influenza IHS. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
