About The Role:

We are seeking a Graduate Research Agronomist for our office in Young, NSW. You will be required to work as part of a cohesive field team to achieve trial program objectives and be involved in all aspects of trial management.

Every day is different, and you will gain valuable insights and experience in the areas of:

• Agricultural chemicals and their application.
• Weed, disease and insect identification.
• Trial design and trial implementation of broadacre crops.
• Plant diagnostics.
• Seeding and Harvest.
• Calibration of Machinery.
• Statistics and data interpretation.
• Client and grower communications.

Due to the nature of the role, there will be requirements for some overnight travel and additional work hours during peak periods.

Remuneration will be based on the skills and experience you bring to the role.

About You:

This role will suit a highly organised and driven individual with a passion for the future of agriculture. You will also:

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Science or similar;
• Have a high attention to detail & be self-motivated;
• Have a genuine interest in agriculture & horticulture – including plant physiology, weed identification, herbicide application, agricultural machinery;
• Enjoy working within a team & autonomously;
• Enjoy problem solving;
• Be curious and self-motivated;
• Possess a current driver’s licence.
