An incredible opportunity for a mid-weight graphic designer with proven experience in product & packaging design has opened up within the homewares division of our product development company. Jahie is seeking a creative, self-starter Graphic Artist who has an overall love of product and an eye for design. We design and manufacture products within the homewares, lifestyle, beauty and bath & body categories.
Our brand Ciroa, has been established for over 15 years with our main market being the USA, Canada and Europe. We design and develop high volume, on-trend homewares & lifestyle products. Our company has experienced large growth and the team needs more graphic design support in the product development process.
The exciting, fast-paced role encompasses the full process of bringing a product to market - from conceptual stages, to final product specification files to send to our makers, to printed packaging design and production. Experience with printed packaging & understanding printing techniques will be an advantage. Another clear advantage will be having experience with designing within the lifestyle & homewares industries.
Our small, close-knit team works together to meet tight deadlines so flexibility and a can-do attitude is a must! We work from our conveniently located office in Bondi Junction and also remotely across NSW & China. Many of our team has been with us for many years, and there is a wealth of knowledge and support available for the right candidate.
We are looking for a proven graphic designer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years experience
- Experience designing to established brand guidelines
- Ability to execute final product art specifications, follow instruction & apply feedback
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- Knowledge managing artwork files, some pre-press skills, and Pantone colour systems
- Ability to work independently and be highly organised, with forecasting and forward planning experience
- An eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrate full knowledge of all file types and be able to recognise printing processes and techniques
- Experience in understanding product specification files and creating final artwork specification for products
- A sound understanding of surface pattern & print repeats + it’s application to various product
- Experience in packaging design & understanding use of basic die-lines and packaging construction
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with both customers and manufacturers
- Have commercial awareness and express interest on the retail landscape and competitors, showing an ability to make design decisions that add value to our product
Working from home is available for 2 days per week, but you would need to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
