About the Role:
Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will see you create and transpose new designs on to product templates ready to send to the manufacturers for production.
This is a unique opportunity for the right person & will be a role with great diversity where you will be required to highlight your strong ability for inspired concepts. You will work closely with the owner-Artist, where you will be encouraged to showcase your creative flair, share your ideas in design, colour, texture and style to compliment and support the brand.
Furthermore, we are looking for someone who can think outside the box and take initiative to recognise the next step in day-to-day procedures if the need arises, taking note of the surrounding workflow in order to move forward.
You will be part of a close-knit, fun team where you will quickly become part of the work family sharing stories and banter around the lunch table. This is a great opportunity to discuss ideas, collaborate and support each other.
Key Duties:
- Support and collaborate with the owner-Artist to bring new ideas and styles to life through creation and design
- Transpose designs on to print ready templates ready for production
- Ensure all work is completed to a high quality, with a focus on efficiency to meet tight deadlines
- Work within the brand and creative direction of the business whilst also bringing fresh and innovative ideas, and design to the table
- Complete, retouch and manipulate images to ensure the product meets the company standards prior to production
- Work on Adobe Creative suite on Mac with strengths using Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
- Methodical use of workflow platform ‘Trello’ to maintain uniformity of tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a graphic design role with an understanding of the print production process is a MUST
- Experience with Adobe Creative suite on Mac is a MUST with a particular focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Strong Systematic processes to reach the end result with speed and accuracy.
- Disciplined methods & an excellent eye for detail with the ability to jump from one project to another without issue.
- Knowledge of layouts & graphic fundamentals with a creative flair to both whilst keeping within the brand guidelines.
- Have an existing portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
- Ability to work under pressure, on multiple projects to meet manufacturing and production deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously whilst supporting the owner-Artist in her vision as well as working as part of a fun team
This role will see you working Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm, and you will need your own reliable transport to get to work due to its location in West Burleigh.
