Senior Graphic Design Officer

This large Queensland State Government Department requires the expertise of a Senior Graphic Designer in a full time capacity for a unique project role as part of their Learning and Development team. As part of the project team, you'll play a crucial role in redesigning, creating and developing visual content for eLearning modules, digital curriculum materials, print resources and other L&D platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Designing visually appealing and effective eLearning modules and digital curriculum materials;
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to transform complex concepts into engaging visual representations;
• Producing high-quality graphics, animations, and multimedia content to enhance learning experiences;
• Creating compelling visuals for print materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and accessibility standards; and
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from concept development to final delivery.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to commence within the next month;
• Brisbane based, with the ability to commit to 3 days in the CBD office;
• Extensive experience (at least 5 years) as a Graphic Designer in a corporate or similar environment;
• Proficiency in Graphic Design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.);
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques;
• Experience with audiovisual production, animation, motion design, and photography is highly desirable;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, with meticulous attention to detail;
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in digital design is advantageous; and
• A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, with a passion for continuous improvement.
