The successful candidate much have:
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to develop design to the highest of standards
- Strong ability to work to deadlines, specifically across multiple projects at a time
- Excellent design skills and ability to adapt design styles, apply branded style guides with refined consistency
- Excellent typographic skills and proficiency
- Working from concept through to execution and finished art
- Excellent time management skills & organisational skills, with strong ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for graphic design, creating high quality & diverse content, originality and the ability to push design boundaries
- Experience working collaboratively, taking direction from management
- Ability to balance the creative process alongside project timelines/deadlines & client requests
- A confident, team player, who understands the difference between ‘good and great’ and is prepared to go beyond to raise the bar
- Understand the importance of constructive criticism toward your design and client requirements
- Be a problem solver with a strong ‘can do’ attitude
- Positive attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing, agency environment
- Experience working across a range of digital, print, editorial, packaging, brand identity & website design outcomes
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and confidence to deal directly with clients
- Ability and eagerness to mentor junior design staff
Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Design, Graphic Design, Communication, Visual Communication or equivalent.
- 3 + years’ industry experience, agency experience and/or significant graphic design studio experience.
- Professional proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop & XD)
- Motion experience, After Effects and Animation (preferable not essential)
- Packaging & Print experience, understanding print production across different materials & mediums.
