About the Role
The Graphic Designer supports the organisation by creating design solutions for online and distributed publications and other collateral.
We currently have a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position available.
About You
To be considered for this position you will need to clearly demonstrate the following essential skills and experience: (Desired only if in italics)
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in Graphic Design for both print and online with working knowledge of printing processes, prepress and the print industry
- High level of computer skills in Office 365, Adobe suite, and advanced competence in design software
- Experience in branding, print and layout design, logo concepting, merchandise, social media design and some animation
- Analytical skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to look at draft work from the view of the end user
- Artistic ability with proven capability to be able to create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing to the end user
- High level of listening, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to remain positive & work effectively to meet team deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal instructions & supervision
- Time-management and organisational skills, and experience working on multiple projects and delivering on required deadlines
- Proven ability to work flexibly in a team individually
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise initiative and judgment
- Positive attitude to unionism
- Awareness and adherence of WHS policies and procedures
About Us
The New South Wales Teachers Federation is the registered trade union representing NSW public school teachers in pre-schools, infants, primary and secondary schools and TAFE Institutes.
