Australian fashion brand Lorna Murray™ has become a leading hat brand internationally and currently has an excellent opportunity for one or two highly competent new team members to join our dynamic team in Sydney's Inner West. The successful applicant/s will have outstanding IT literacy skills, as well as both written and spoken communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is fundamental.
This role will suit an applicant with Graphic Design skills either working part-time (2 days per week) in our studio or full-time with the additional 3 days per week managing our webshop / Customer Care department. We will also consider applicants wishing to solely manage our online store and support other departments by ensuring our customers enjoy the best possible care in all facets of their contact with our brand.
Graphic Design
The successful applicant will have the ability to create and assist with all aspects of Graphic Design, both digital and print, to promote brand awareness and consistency throughout the Lorna Murray brand:
- Create content for new season campaigns
- Collaborate with Director to plan and develop site content, style and layout
- Create and execute assets in branding to be used across all aspects of the business
- Digital production and printing of creative assets
- Assist design and production teams
- Creation of newsletters, press releases and event content
- Research and create mood board content
- Styling for photo shoots skills are desirable, however, not necessary
Webshop / Customer Care / Logistics
Your experience in Customer Care will shine through your ability to manage competing tasks while ensuring our customers enjoy the best possible care in all facets of their contact with the brand, including new product launches through our online store and up to date product availability.
You will enjoy working as part of a team while also independently managing your daily and weekly tasks which are continually varied. You will also possess an outstanding work ethic and positive proactive attitude and the ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Customer care experience essential
- Retail supervisor, warehouse supervisor, or management experience in a hands-on role (both at a physical store / warehouse and online), preferably in a small business
- Fashion / textiles experience ideal
- Review & respond to all Customer Care correspondence
- Preparing & packing orders and deliveries for online store
- Daily management of product listings on Shopify
- Production creation and assisting with inventory management
- Managing sold outs and new product launches on Shopify
- Creating new product and colour descriptions
- Management of stock including meticulous maintenance of data and inventory
- Preparation of relevant reports
- EOFY and half-yearly stocktake management
- Project, inventory and stock management experience
- Quality control, loss and prevention
- Management of stock room including signage, organisation and general maintenance
- Processing and recording all losses from incoming stock and deliveries
- Pop Up and Outlet management
- Liaise with all departments to ensure brand consistency and quality control
You will have the following qualifications and skills:
- To be considered for these roles you must have university qualifications and/or industry experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Australia
- A professional yet bright and friendly demeanour with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- High level of independence, confidentiality, adaptability and initiative with ability to work as part of a team
- Extremely organised, excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
- Business minded with interest and understanding of brand identity
- Proactive with strong initiative, continually forward planning
- Creative and ability to adapt in a dynamic role
- IT and trouble shooting skills – MAC, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and Excel
- Analytical with ability to learn new platforms and software programs as required
- CRM knowledge advantageous but not essential.
