A day in the life (how will the role create value)
Your role as a Graphic Designer is to work within the design team producing projects from initial concept through to final production. This role is responsible for providing design solutions with high visual impact for Helloworld’s retail and wholesale brands, including Helloworld, Viva Holidays and Cruiseco.
Key projects include production of brochures, print and digital marketing elements for brand marketing campaigns and other ad-hoc design projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
As our new Graphic Designer, you will:
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to assist in the execution and delivery of campaigns
- Support Marketing Team to achieve flawless execution of campaigns and activities to achieve agreed KPI’s
- Effectively work as part of the Marketing and Partnerships Team, display teamwork principles and positively contribute to the creation of a harmonious work environment
- Developing strong working relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure flawless execution of campaigns and brand alignment (where appropriate)
- Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval
- Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software
- Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary
- Maintain a professional image when representing Helloworld Travel Limited at external meeting and functions.
About You
In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
- Recent experience having worked within a Graphic Design role.
- Strong technical knowledge within Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Experience in interpreting design briefs and developing concepts that meet stakeholder expectations, and timelines
- Creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
- Experience in preparing finished artwork for print
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Advanced computer literacy: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Action oriented with a hands-on approach and a willingness to work with multi-functional teams
