About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, high performing organisation and gain experience working across a suite of iconic Australian outdoor and leisure brands including OZtrail®, Companion®, Campfire® and Ozpig®.
Reporting to the Product, Brand and Sourcing Director, you will be one of two designers with shared responsibility for producing multimedia designs in both print and digital formats from conception to final delivery, liaising with key stakeholders such as our internal product and sales teams throughout all stages of projects.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Management of studio workflow to deliver projects, digital and print assets/initiatives within agreed timeframes;
- Design and production of printed and digital collateral including product packaging, catalogues, POS, visual merchandising solutions, digital assets for web and EDM’s and other marketing materials;
- Brand evolution/development - taking guidance/brief on evolving existing brand/s and building out guidelines for consistency whilst providing input and ideas;
- Efficient system setup and management that works for collaborators, beyond the design team;
- Developing and working to brand style guides (internal and customer) to ensure all design work is in line with guidelines;
- Assisting with ad hoc work production including, product photography and photo editing;
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to streamline design processes and final production;
About You
As the successful person, you will be a pragmatic and creative thinker with an energetic and motivated approach to your craft. You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong focus on packaging design preferable
- Previous experience in an Agency environment or within an organisation with multiple brands would be highly regarded
- Demonstrable layout and graphic design capabilities with folio examples of previous work
- Proficient across the Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Solid knowledge of design, typography, pre-press, offset and printing processes
- Impeccable attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetic composition
- Team player who is willing to get involved and support the team
- Ability to handle multiple briefs, numerous projects and flexibility to prioritise own work
- Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills: willing to contribute original ideas/concepts, and able to give and receive constructive feedback
- A positive attitude and above all have a passion for the work you output
