The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide professional, high quality, reliable and cost-effective graphic design services for both print and online publication.
• Design, plan and produce artwork for publications, brochures, posters, booklets, identifiers, branding and displays from concept design through to final production stage.
• Coordinate graphic design projects ensuring the clients' communication objectives have been identified and met, and the project is produced on time and within budget.
• Provide technical and creative consultation and advice on matters relating to graphic design and liaise with project teams and individual clients on the design and development of projects.
• Extensive knowledge of design processes and techniques in a PC design environment, with intermediate to advanced skills using Adobe Premium Design software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Prepare written production specifications, liaise, negotiate, and obtain quotes from external service providers such as printers, bureau services and manufacturers.
• Ensure that corporate identity standards, publishing procedures and the department's visual communications standards are maintained.
Role Requirements
Mandatory
• Possession of an Associate Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
