Greater Hume Council is a small rural Council with a focus on responsibility, growth and sustainability. We are based in southern New South Wales, right near the Murray River, bordering Victoria and the local government areas of Albury, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys and Wagga Wagga Councils. Our offices are dispersed across Holbrook, Culcairn and Jindera, all a short drive to the shore of Lake Hume.

About the Position
An opportunity is currently available within Council’s Jindera Town and Parks Maintenance crew. This position works with the Town and Parks Maintenance Ganger West Region and a small team of operators. The position offers versatility, covering a wide region of Greater Hume including the areas of Jindera, Walla Walla, Gerogery and surrounding villages.
Please refer to the attached Position Description for insight into the key tasks of the role. A degree of independence is required of the preferred applicant, however a large component of the role requires teamwork and working predominately with another operator on tasks
This position is based from Council’s Jindera Works Depot, 15 minutes from Albury/Wodonga, working 38 hours per week on a 9 day fortnight flexible work arrangement. Salary is in the range of $56,186 to $62,930 gross per annum, plus allowances, overtime opportunities and an 11% Council Superannuation contribution.
