A Greenkeeper/Labourer is responsible for carrying out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent and or Assistant Superintendent.

- Compliance at all times with Health and Safety requirements in accordance with the relevant legislation and Company OH&S policies. Report incidents, accidents and/or maintenance issues as appropriate.
- Undertakes golf course maintenance tasks and duties as directed.
- Operate, maintain and adjust turf machinery as directed.
- Clean and inspect machinery after each use and report any problems to the Turf Technician/Superintendent.
- Mow all playing surfaces such as greens, green surrounds, tees, fairways and rough areas as directed.
- Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, drop zones and hazards as directed.
- Apply fertilisers and chemicals such as fungicides, herbicides and insecticides, etc as directed.
- Apply top dressing as directed.
- Carry out irrigation tasks and repairs as directed.
- Renovate worn and damaged turf areas including laying of sod as directed.
- Carry out gardening, cleaning and non-trade tasks as directed.
- Ensure all records are recorded accurately.
- Ensure maintenance facilities and surroundings are kept neat and tidy at all times.
- All other responsibilities as determined by Company from time to time.
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently as a member of a team or individually.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with guests and staff in a courteous, friendly and professional manner at all times.
- Have a willingness to be trained and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, possibly a commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and some public holidays, including weekend morning shifts.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
