The Role
The College is seeking to appoint an experienced Greenkeeper full-time (38 hours per week). Reporting to the Facilities Manager this role is a hands-on role and primarily responsible for the day-to-day repair maintenance of the College’s sporting fields and associated grounds and gardens and undertaking day to day facilities tasks as directed.
To be successful, you will possess:
- Previous experience as a Greenkeeper/Groundsperson essential (with experience in a school environment advantageous)
- Ability to competently use a broad range of grounds and gardening tools, plant and equipment
- Able to multi-task, manage a wide range of day-to-day requirements and strong time management skills
- Grass species, weed and pest identification skills
- Experience and knowledge of chemical products and their uses
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety obligations especially in relation to Hazardous Substances and Plant and Equipment
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Landscaping or Horticultural studies (highly desired)
- ACDC Chemical Licence
- First Aid Certificate including CPR
- Must have a current and unrestricted manual Drivers Licence
- Must have a current Blue Card (Paid)
