Tropics Golf Club, in Townsville offers an 18 hole golf championship golf course with practice facilities, with clubhouse offering café, bar, keno and wedding function centre. The Club is seeking to appoint a qualified Greenkeeper and /or a suitably experienced Groundsperson for sports turf, golf course & grounds maintenance. Candidates with related experience in mowing & landscaping, irrigation or drainage systems are additionally encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & experience
- Cert 3 in Sports Turf Management
- Chemical Certification
- Strong work ethic
- Experience and sound understanding of all turf equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintenance of sports turf playing surfaces
- Mowing, irrigation repairs and maintenance
- Hedging & preparing surfaces
- Some Saturday work will be required
