Griffith Sport Active Kids program provides primary school aged children the opportunity to take part in sport and recreation during the school holidays. Active Kid Program Leaders are responsible for on facilitation of the program which includes short sport and recreation sessions which are run throughout the day to engage school aged children in different sport and activities and encourages them to be active during the school holidays. The program is based on our Mt Gravatt campus. We have a ratio of 12 children to one Program Leader, therefore Griffith Sport has multiple casual positions available covering 2 weeks throughout the September School holidays. Positions will be allocated based on applicant’s expertise as well as availability.
Key responsibilities of the role include all aspects of the program on the day such as
- Facilitating sport sessions
- Supervision of children
- Communication with Sport Development Manager & Parents
- Venue organization, and sport equipment set up up/pack down
- Ensuring safety of children at all times
- General customer service

About you
To succeed in this role, it is desirable that you will have had some experience in sport and recreation, and working with children. You will be passionate about sport, have a positive outlook with brilliant customer service and communication skills as well as being able to thrive in a team environment. You will be able to communicate with children and parents, and be able to create professional relationships with children with ease. You will need to be suitably qualified and confident in administering first aid, and have a current Blue Card.
Availability Required
You would need to be willing to work throughout the school holidays. You don't need to be available all days, however availability for the full week is preferred so we can provide continuity for the children where possible.
Our next program starts on Monday 19 September - Friday 30 September. Example shifts include Monday to Friday 7:45 am - 12:45pm or 11:45am to 5:15pm.
