About the Wembley Golf CourseWembley Golf Course is a public golf facility owned and operated by the Town of Cambridge located 10kms from the CBD and 2 kms from City Beach in Perth, WA. The facility encompasses 36 holes, an 80 Bay two storey (automated) day/night driving range including Trackman Range touchscreens on each bay, 18 hole mini golf course, shortgame and coaching areas, WA’s only PGA Centre of Learning & Performance and one of Australia’s biggest pro shops. With over 185,000 rounds per year and over 800,000 visitors to the facility per year Wembley Golf Course is arguably the busiest golf facility in Australia.
The RoleThis position works as a member of the Town’s Parks and Natural Environment Team, carrying out day-to-day maintenance operations in a safe and efficient manner to achieve nominated service delivery outcomes for users of the Town's sportsgrounds, parks, road reserves, gardens and natural areas.
Selection Criteria- Previous experience related to the Key Responsibilities.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and works environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
- Ability to respond appropriately to supervisor direction and adjust to a variety of work environments and carry out diverse tasks as required, including working with limited supervision at times.
- Polite, professional and well presented.
- TAFE training in Horticulture, Landscaping, Construction or related fields desirable.
- Relevant licences – Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence (“HR” class licence desirable).
- Safety Awareness Training (White Card desirable but can be obtained following employment).
- Senior First Aid Certificate desirable.
