SalaryThe Caboolture Showgrounds has a Permanent position available.
The Position – Focus on upkeep of grounds, gardens, and event set up. 38 hours a week. This position requires weekend work.
Your tasks will include:
- Perform gardening duties including mowing of lawns, and ensuring edges and hedges are trimmed appropriately.
- Maintain the Showgrounds, interior, and building surrounds in a neat, clean, tidy, and presentable condition.
- Manage garbage disposal and maintain cleanliness of outside areas.
- Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of equipment.
- Report on any hazards or security breaches to the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain the Showgrounds relevant equipment and supplies and arrange replacement when necessary.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment
- A good understanding of WHS and compliance
- Preventative maintenance of department equipment. Lawn mowers, tractor, plant machinery and tools
- Event set up for arrival and departure

Role Requirements
- Current Police Screening Certificate
- Certificate III or equivalent experience in a related area and/or A trade Qualification in the building industry e.g. Carpentry/building (desirable)
- Demonstrated relevant experience in undertaking gardening duties and the maintenance of the grounds
- Ability to empathise with disadvantaged and/or older persons
- Experience in stock management
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Tractor Operations (or willing to obtain)
- LF Forklift Ticket (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain)
- Good computer and mobile device skills
