About the Role:
The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our Grounds & Maintenance Team. In a team of 3 - this group maintains the facilities within the school and also assists with daily operations and major events of the College. Experience in maintaining ovals and garden facilities would be a significant advantage in this role.
Typical Duties/Skills:
• Meeting with the Grounds and Maintenance team to discuss maintenance requests and weekly
works required for College activities.
• Undertake routine grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding and watering,
involving operation of irrigation equipment, working with other grounds staff.
• Undertake routine tasks to maintain established gardens, including basic planting, trimming and
removing any weeds and rubbish as required.
• Assist with maintaining and marking grass playing fields and surfaces.
• Regularly check for and remove rubbish from bins (empty), gardens, grounds and playing
surfaces.
• Undertake and assist with basic and routine building maintenance and minor repairs to fixtures.
• Assist with the set up and pull down of events, sporting activities and ceremonies including:
• Move furniture and equipment between classes and/or storage areas.

The successful candidate will:
• Ideally hold recent expereince relevant to the position in a grounds/services/operational role or similar
• Hold or be prepared to obtain a Queesnland Transport Light Rigid Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate

- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
