Grounds & Maintenance Attendant

Aspen is looking for a highly motivated, customer focused, and enthusiastic Grounds and Maintenance Attendant to join our team full-time at Mandurah Gardens Estate.  If you have previous experience in similar roles, are driven to succeed and think you can make a positive difference, read on!

This is a hands-on role which is integral to the success of the property. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will assist with repairs and maintenance to facilities, grounds maintenance, irrigation and waste management. 

About you:

• A handy person with experience in grounds and maintenance
• Someone who lives and breathes customer service and enjoys communicating with a variety of people
• A positive attitude and a strong attention to detail
• A pro-active person, who can think on their feet & problem solve
• A person with hands-on experience in a similar role, and strong knowledge of General Maintenance and Swimming Pool Maintenance
• Knowledge of correct manual handling techniques and WHS awareness
• Loves being outdoors and takes pride in place in maintaining beautiful grounds for our valued residents
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong time management
• Current manual drivers license is essential to the role

 The role:

As Grounds and Maintenance Attendant, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Landscaping and pool maintenance
• Gardening, including pruning, weeding, hedging and mowing
• Ensure the proper and safe use and storage of all materials, consumables and gardening equipment
• Administer minor repairs and or maintenance to tools, equipment and machinery
• Attending to general maintenance tasks throughout the property
• Addressing residents’ queries or complaints in a professional manner, following up with resolutions, and further feedback
• Assisting with improvement works around the village and working closely with management to create and execute future capital expenditure projects
• Build and maintain strong contractor and supplier relationships, negotiating the best terms
• This role requires good physical capability, lifting objects over 10kg’s at times, and some work to be completed outdoors in all weather
• Other such duties applicable to, and within the purview of, the Grounds & Maintenance Attendant
